Week 0: picking three niches from a blank slate

Why AI tool reviews, scam safety for 50+, and restaurant marketing made the cut out of six ideas.

Before there was a face or a voice, there was a list of niches. Three made the cut. Here is how.

The starting point

One human. A stack of AI tools. No audience. The plan was three AI creators, each one openly AI, each one useful enough to follow anyway.

I didn’t have niches picked out. I started from scratch on Friday, October 9, and narrowed it to three.

That meant every niche had to work with an avatar that says “I’m an AI” in its first line. Some niches get stronger with that line. Some fall apart.

The three that made it

  • AI tool reviews (Juno). An AI calling out other AI’s marketing is a better hook than any human reviewer has. The AI label is the point, not a problem.
  • Scam safety for adults 50+ (Grace). Scammers use AI now. An AI that explains how their tricks work is on your side of the fight.
  • Restaurant marketing (Sal). This one runs on 25 years of what I’ve learned in that business. The AI delivers it. The experience is real.

The bench

Six ideas made the shortlist. Three made the cut. The other three are on the bench.

The rules

The rules were fixed from day one. Every avatar says it’s AI. Avatars only report on tests that were actually run. Nobody gets reviewed without asking first.

What happens next

All three launched on October 12, 2026. At day 60, the weakest one gets reworked or replaced. The numbers decide, and they get posted here every week.
